Teacher Gifts

Good morning everyone & sorry for the lack of posts in the last week or so, I've been so busy with DT work & orders, but sure it keeps me out of trouble lol
I just thought I'd share some teacher cards I was asked to do. I teamed up with a friend & local business, who made the fabby bookmarks for me.

I decided a good way to display the bookmarks would be to hang them on an open book style easel card.

The cards were personalised & have been decoupaged for added depth. The recipients loved them, & I was told one even cried lol.
Thanks for visiting xxx

Good morning everyone & welcome to the 2nd challenge of the year at Just Inspirational Challenges.

I'm so excited, as this week it's team Bs turn & we are sponsored by the fabby

They are offering a free digi to the winner of this challenge.

Each week we are given an inspirational photo or sketch to use  & this is this week's one
We would love to see what you come up with using this photo as your inspiration. Interpret it however you like eg. the image itself, colours, shape etc.

Soooo here is what I have come up with

I  have created a centre stepper card using Psychedelic Syd & you can find him here. I coloured him in pro-markers I added touches of Glossy Accents. I added  some card candi & made a little badge to decorate. The papers I designed myself in Craft Artist. I drew my inspiration from the colours in the photo & also used the photo itself as my sentiment, cos he is a daddy cool lol.
Here is a close up of the coloured image

I am really looking forward to seeing what you all come up with, be sure to pop over to Just Inspirational Challenges to enter & pop by & see what the rest of my teamies have come up with.

Sunny morning post

Good morning, the sun is shining here in County Wicklow so we'll enjoy it while we can. I just thought I'd share this card I was asked to make. It's for the customer to give to her twin on their 30th birthday. They've been involved with marching bands most of their lives so she wanted to in-corporate that into it.
I used craft artist to design the card, oh how I'd be so lost without it, I use it everyday.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you like it as the customer really did.

Hello and Welcome to the re-launch of Just Inspirational Challenges and our Blog Hop. We have lots of sponsors and lots of prizes up for grabs. Full rules are on the main blog here

I used a fab image from our sponsor the fab Sassy Studio Designs

This is the inspirational photo we were given to use for the blog hop & as you will be able to see my inspiration came from all the gorgeous colours, so bright & cheery & Summery

Soooooooo here is my make. It was so hard to decide which digi I wanted as they are all so fab, but in the end I went for Sock Hop Sweetie 2. She was so fun to work with. She has been coloured in promarkers & I coloured up a juke box digi to match. The papers & elements I used were from a digital scrapbook kit. I cut out the records & glazed them so I could use them as corners & I also added a music border in matching colours to the papers.
I hope you like her & thanks for stopping by, have fun on the rest of the hop xxx

Elaine... from Simply Betty

Good evening everyone, I really need to try keep up with my blogging, I just need a few more hours in each day, though I'm sure alot of you can relate to that.
The card I am showing you has been made using a digi stamp from the wonderful Simply Betty, it was given to us on Betty's facebook fan group & the challenge was to use swirls & ribbon.

I have coloured Elaine in shades of turquoise & shades of  orange, & in fact I seem to be colouring alot of images in this colour combo, I love it :) I had no paper in the right shade for the flowers, so I again used my promarker & made up the roses, I wrapped ribbon around a matt which was made from coredinations cardstock, run through a swirly embossing folder & sanded back. I also used some swirly stamps to surround the image.
A close up of the finished image. I had great fun doing this card & I hope you like it. I am also adding it in
Simply Betty challenged challenges for April which is to use embossing folders.
Thanks for looking,
Teresa

My 1st altered album

Good morning all, I thought I'd share this album I have just finished with you all, beware though it is a picture heavy post :)
The album was done to give as a gift to a hen on her hen night. The front has been decorated with die cut embellishments & handmade roses.

It is full of the hen's favourite things.

With lots of tags for journalling as well as plenty of space for photos to be added.

It has been done in a vintage theme, so lots of my lovely distress inks were used, along with splashes of reds.

It was great to get out some of my long forgotten stamps for this project.

Thanks so much for looking, I hope you like my album.
