Good morning everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend. I'm here this morning with my make for the latest challenge from
Through The Purple Haze Challenges
& we have a nice easy theme for you this week, it is
USE A DIGI

I knew I wanted to make a boy/man's card, as I don't seem to make enough of them, so I picked
the Boy Gamer digi & here is my make
I started off with a white card base & layered some green digi paper onto it, I then printed the same paper in blue & randomly stamped with distress inks, I used peeled paint & faded denim. I then inked the edges with the peeled paint My gaming paper is from The Paper Shelter, I brought it into CraftArtist & layered 2 of the same paper on each other & played around with the layers to give me a greener colour.

I used my promarkers to colour the image & cut it out on the cameo

My sentiment was also cut out on the cameo & I inked the back panel of it in peeled paint. I added some thread to buttons & stuck them on.

I hope you'll join us this week & thanks so much for stopping by.

Creative Fingers Challenges - #25

Good morning bloggers & welcome to Friday :) I hope you've all had a good week. I'm here this morning with another challenge from

Creative Fingers Challenge Blog
We have been lucky enough to be sponsored this week by the wonderful

& of course there is a prize for the lucky winner.
Our theme this week is
Vintage
& so, here is my make
I made a 5"x7" card. I layered my backing paper, which was from my stash onto some cream coloured hammered card, which I got at Cardz n Scrapz & you can find it here. I love this card, it's 300gsm & folds & cuts beautifully. All my embellishments & flowers have been cut using my Cameo. I stamped onto the notebook page using distress ink, the hexagons are from a Bo Bunny set (you can find it here)

As it is a vintage theme I used browns for her clothing, with a touch of pale purples.

I added a touch of gilding wax (homemade, using clear shoe polish & mica, LOVE IT) to my flowers.

And, there you have it. My vintage make.
I hope you like it & join us this week.

I would like to enter the following challenges:
Charisma Cardz: Something not mean't for crafting (the shoe polish in my gilding wax)
Passion For Promarkers: Make it digital
Crafting from the Heart: Use flowers
Make Something Monday: Stamp something

Just Inspirational Challenges - Team A

Hey everyone & welcome to a new challenge from Team A of
Just Inspirational Challenges
This week our theme is
Hearts & Ribbon
& we have been sponsored by
& the winner will get to choose some fab digis
So, here is my make
I usually start my cards by picking the colours I want to use for the digis & going from there. I wanted a black & red theme for this so I cut some embellishments with my cameo, I ran the heart through an embossing folder in my Cuttlebug & sanded it back. I then ran some black card through another folder & used gilding wax (my homemade one) over the top. I wrapped some ribbon around my back mat.

A close up of the dimensional butterfly.

I love this cute cut file.

The image has been matted onto red & black cardstocks & I used foam tape to mount it on the card.
I coloured it with promarkers & the colours used were:
hair - black & 1-5 ice grey
skin: coral, sunkissed pink, blush & baby pink
dress & hair piece: crimson, ruby & berry red with a touch of blender.
cape & feather: cool greys 4,2 & 1

Thanks for stopping by, I look forward to seeing everyone's creations.
I would like to enter the following challenges:
Cuttlebug Mania: Texture
Bunny Zoe's Crafts: Hearts/Love
Eureka Stamps: Add a butterfly

Through The Purple Haze - Teams A & B

Good morning, I hope everyone had a good weekend & if your kiddies were on midterm, I hope then had lots of fun too. Soooo, as it's Monday, that means it's time for another challenge from
Through The Purple Haze Challenges
It wasn't my week to do a design for the challenge, but I just had to join in. We are being sponsored by the wonderful people at
Derwent & as they bring us the most fabby colouring pencils our theme this week is
Use a pencil coloured or drawn image
& here is my make
I used a cute image from  the fantabulous Simply Betty.I don't have any all singing & all dancing pencils awwwww, poor me lol. So, I used some pencils I had in my stash. I don't know where they came from or how long I have them. They didn't blend well at all but I struggled on. Once colured I drew some little coloured circles &  then matted the image onto green & red cards.

I used my Cameo to cut out my backing paper, some note paper (which I crumbled & then inked), a sentiment, tag & the diamond design.

Some close ups of some of the card elements & image.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I do hope you'll join us this week.

I would like to enter the following challenges:
Sentimental Sunday: Make your own backing paper
A little bit crafty: Man up
Card & Scrap: Hip Hip Hooray
Crafty Little Fairies: One for the boys

Through The Purple Haze Challenges #29

Good afternoon, I'm here ( a little late, thanks to vanishing posts) with a new challenge from
Through The Purple Haze Challenges
This week our theme is Embossing, be it dry embossing or heat embossing, if it has embossing on it then we want to see it :)
Our sponsor this week is My Mums Craft Shop & you could win £10 to spend in the shop.

So, onto my make.
I decided to use both dry & heat embossing on my DL card. I first scored some brick work onto some coredinations using my hougie board. I then randomly tore it to a size that fit & then sanded it back.

I die cut 2 tags. Inked 1 ran it through an embossing folder, I then inked over the design. On my 2nd tag I stamped onto it using versamark & then foiled it, I sanded some of it back to give an aged look. I die cut some rolled roses as well as some flourishes & corners, I embossed these too. I finished off with some flat back pearls.

My sentiment panel was die cut from the same coredinations, embossed & sanded. I added some peel offs.

A little close up of my tags.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I'm looking forward to seeing all of your embossed projects.
I would like to enter the following challenges:
Dream Valley Challenges: Tag you're it
Scrappy Hands: Embossing
Artistic Stampers: Use Distress
The Crafting Cafe: Embossing
2 Sisters: Embossing
