Elaine... from Simply Betty

Good evening everyone, I really need to try keep up with my blogging, I just need a few more hours in each day, though I'm sure alot of you can relate to that.
The card I am showing you has been made using a digi stamp from the wonderful Simply Betty, it was given to us on Betty's facebook fan group & the challenge was to use swirls & ribbon.

I have coloured Elaine in shades of turquoise & shades of  orange, & in fact I seem to be colouring alot of images in this colour combo, I love it :) I had no paper in the right shade for the flowers, so I again used my promarker & made up the roses, I wrapped ribbon around a matt which was made from coredinations cardstock, run through a swirly embossing folder & sanded back. I also used some swirly stamps to surround the image.
A close up of the finished image. I had great fun doing this card & I hope you like it. I am also adding it in
Simply Betty challenged challenges for April which is to use embossing folders.
Thanks for looking,
Teresa

My 1st altered album

Good morning all, I thought I'd share this album I have just finished with you all, beware though it is a picture heavy post :)
The album was done to give as a gift to a hen on her hen night. The front has been decorated with die cut embellishments & handmade roses.

It is full of the hen's favourite things.

With lots of tags for journalling as well as plenty of space for photos to be added.

It has been done in a vintage theme, so lots of my lovely distress inks were used, along with splashes of reds.

It was great to get out some of my long forgotten stamps for this project.

Thanks so much for looking, I hope you like my album.

Polkadoodles Challenge

This fabby little image is from the lovely Emma Canning, it's a freebie & you can find it here. There is a challenge & a blog hop to go with it too.

I decided to make a Valentine card. The paper is from Picknix Collection 1, this fab cd also has brushes that be imported into Craft Artist & I have used some of them to create the heart paper.
I have also used some dies & the image was coloured in with promarkers.
Thanks so much for taking the time to look xxxx
