Just Inspirational Challenges - Little Blue Button

Good morning & welcome to another challenge from Just Inspirational Challenges.
It's the turn of team B

this week & we have a fantastic sponsor -

If you haven't been by their store then you need to, I fell in love with some of the cute images
& adore the simple but cute feel to them.
There is also a great prize up for grabs too

As usual we have a photo for you to use as inspiration & here it is

You can interpret the photo in any way you choose, ie. the shapes, colours, style etc.

Now onto my make, we were given a digi stamp from our sponsor & I had such a hard time deciding on
the one I wanted to use & finally settled on

So here is what I came up with

I wanted to keep it simple & clean & so decided not to use patterned papers, which I think is a first for me. I just stuck to 2 colours of paper & used matts & layers to build up the card. I die cut some circle & layered these also, as well as some flourishes & finishing it off with some cute roses, which I also made in the same 2 papers.

I coloured Miss Lily in promarkers in shades matching the papers.
I wasn't sure about this card, I think I had issues in not using my pretty papers but once I had it all put together I was actually quiet happy. I guess it goes to show that sometimes we really can't judge a project until it's been put together & the finishing touches added.

Thanks so much for visiting & I really hope you'll join us in this week's challenge. Don't forget to visit the main blog & also check out what my
fantabulous teamies have come up with (you'll find the links in the side bar)
Have a wonderful day & I hope the sun is shining in your part of the world

PS. don't forget to check out our blog candy over on the main Just inspirational Challenges blog.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges

Another day another creation....

Good afternoon all, I thought I'd share this card with you all, I made it for a friend. I decided to use of my fabby Saturated Canary digis, I just adore using them & want them all!!!!

So here is my make, I used papers from a craft artist digi kit to tie in with the fruit theme of the image, did some matting & layering & finished off with a die cut border, flourish & handmade roses.

The image was coloured with promarkers, I used colour combos I wouldn't normally use, but I do like how she has turned out.

Thanks for visiting.

I would like to enter this project in the following challenges:

Just Inspirational Challenges :)

Good Morning everyone & welcome, it's time for another challenge from
& this week is the turn of
Team B

This week our sponsor is the wonderful
who are offering a prize of 4 digi images to the lucky winner

Here is this week's photo
& we would like you to interpret the photo however you like, be it the image itself, the colours, shape etc.

So here is my make:
Having seen the inspirational photo & being Irish I had to have the gorgeous
Celtic Fairy
to work with & she was kindly given by our sponsor.

The backing paper is from a craft cd & I over stamped it with a distress stamp (from Sheena Douglas)
I then created the layers, using the same stamp set, can you tell it's my new favourite lol :)
The cogs ,from Creative Expressions, have been stamped & heat embossed around the heart. I finished this off with 2 stamped wings, which I curled to give dimension before sticking them down & adding the gem.
I then assembled the card & added some handmade roses

She has been coloured in promarkers & cut out, isn't she gorgeous

Another view of the heart with the cute wings.
This style is totally different for me, but I really enjoyed doing it & I was happy with how she turned out.

Thanks so much for stopping by, be sure to visit my teamies (links in the right sidebar) & pop by Just Inspirational Challenges to enter, I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Creative Creations Challenges

Good morning everyone & thanks so much for visiting on what is my first post as a DT member for
It's so exciting to be part of this fab team.

Our fabby sponsers this week are the wonderful

This company was new to me & I am sure glad I found them as there are so many fab images.
They are offering a great prize to the a winner: A $25 gift voucher

So, onto the challenge, this weeks challenge is a great one -
Shaped Cards - no squares or rectangles

I enjoyed this so much I had to make 2 with my image which is
& here are my makes :)

I kept the card simple, using a barn as it's shape, I also decoupaged the doors & the roof.

Ellie & her little pig have been cut out & mounted onto the barn using glue gel.

For my next make I decided to try a circle easel card.
It's been made using my Martha Stewart circle cutter, I cut out a number of different sized circles, inked them, stamped them (using Sheena Douglas' A Little Bit Sketchy stamps)
The sentiment has been cut using an x-cut alphabet die & mounted on another x-cut die

The image has been coloured using promarkers & it was my first time giving the clouds a bash (I was quite chuffed they worked lol)

Thanks so much for popping by & I look forward to seeing everyone's entries.

Summer Feeling

Good morning everyone, I hope the sun is shining for you :) I just wanted to share this card with you all.

The image was a fab freebie from Scrappers Delight
& I couldn't wait to use it.
It's been coloured in promarkers & layered on mats, using my fabby new perfect layers tools, they really are great. I think they make me use up those scraps a bit more
I inked & embossed a circle before sanding it back to reveal the card below.
It's finished off with little glitter dots & roses.

Thanks so much for visiting, I hope you like my card :)
